Blue Ridge Electric is rolling out the first of several programs under their GreenSmart initiative to meet the NC Renewal Energy and Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standards.
The Caldwell District Office will begin selling CFLs at below market prices to members starting mid-January. The price for 13W CFLs (60 Watt equivalent incandescent) are $1 each and if you buy five you get one free. The price for 18W CFLs (75 Watt equivalent incandescent) are $1.50 each and if you buy five you get one free. The price for 23W CFLs (100 Watt equivalent incandescent) are $2 each and if you buy five you get one free. These CFLs are Energy Star rated with a 10,000 hour life, instant on and instant bright, and the price includes NC sales tax. These prices are well below the specials you can buy at local Box stores and the baker's half dozen promotion is a great way to stock up on CFLs to make 2009 a greener year.
Looking for a specialty CFL or other energy saving product that might be hard to find, visit Blue Ridge Electric's new 'On-Line Store' where you can find almost any type of CFL and a number of energy saving products that will help you save energy in your home and business. Go to www.BlueRidgeEMC.com and clink the link to the on-line store. (The store should be up and running by January 16th)
Drop by the Lenoir District office of Blue Ridge Electric and check out the CFL display and cook up some savings for 2009.
